1740-1780 War of Austrian Succession

The Hasburg power was challenged by Prussia and France and the Hasburg’s were backed up by England and Republic. The King Frederick II was trying to unify his scattered crown by capturing Sileicia. Maria Theresa still got to keep her thrown.

1756-1763 Seven Years War ends in Peace of Paris

The seven year war was ended by the Treaty of Paris February 10. This was signed by Great Britain France Spain and Portugal. This allowed Britain to win against France and Spain. This broke Poland into Three parts. This was caused by the Russian new found power was threatening Prussia and the Hasburg Empire. Frederick the great created this agreement to stop Austria and Prussia going to war because they were jealous of Russia’s power.

1776 American Revolution begins-France aided the American colonies on their triumph over Britain in a war for independence. 1789 French Revolution begins- It began with the creation of the Estates-General which lead to the Third estate proclaming the Tennis Court oath. Next came the Bastille in July of 1789 and the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen in August. The revolution ended with the execution of King Louis XVI.

1793 The Second Partition of Poland-The second partition of Poland was a treaty between Russia and Prussia agreeing to revoke polish reforms in both countries. Both countries would also receive large chunks of Commonwealth territory. 1795 The Third Partition of Poland-The third partition of Poland was an agreement between Austria, Prussia, and Russia to take Poland off the map of Europe as a solution to the unrest.
